“Ah, you who hide deep from the Lord your counsel,
whose deeds are in the dark,
and who say, “Who sees us? Who knows us?”
You turn things upside down!
Shall the potter be regarded as the clay,
that the thing made should say of its maker,
“He did not make me”;
or the thing formed say of him who formed it,
“He has no understanding”?” – Isaiah 29:15-16 (ESV)
As the Prophet Isaiah warned against in this passage, while we may be able to conceal our true intentions and desires from others around us, God isn’t fooled. Our hearts and minds are well known to the One who formed us, and when we seek to hide ourselves from His view, in fact we only deceive ourselves.

There’s no place we can go where God can’t see us. And He knows every thought of our heart. That truth can either be comforting or terrifying. What a Mighty God!
God knows all, God sees all. He knows our heart and our thoughts. There is no running from Him. Beautiful thoughts this morning.

God knows all and sees all, He knows when our hearts are right or filled with selfishness. That may scare some people, but I find comfort in that, that I can be completely honest with Him and He will never judge or condemn or forsake me, He may correct me but He will never stop loving me and I will never stop being His child.

I just read this passage the other day in my study. It reminded me how foolish we are to ever think we can hide from our God. I also thought of Adam and Eve, clothing themselves out of embarrassment, when the Lord knew exactly what they looked like! 🙂

Fool is an appropriate word to describe us. If we are honest, we do try to fool God, don’t we? good food for thought today, Phil Thanks
The only person who is fooled is us….We fool ourselves and we think we are fooling God but He knows the real us all to well
I’m enjoying this reminder, mostly because it tells me that God sees everything. If he sees what people do in secret, then He knows my tears and pain when I hide them from others also. Thank you for sharing.
