Dear Lord; Happy Tuesday Father!
Over the last few years Lord, I’ve been “hearing” more and more from You in my daily life and I have to tell You, it’s been a transformational change for me. While I know through Scripture and Faith that You’ve always been with me and always will be, as my Walk has progressed and I’ve learned to “listen” more carefully, I find Your Voice in almost every part of my day.
You speak to me through…
The wave of comfort and peace I get when I reach out to You in prayer.
The quick inner “watch it!” scolding I get after doing something that isn’t in line with Christ’s teachings (eg. Letting loose a nasty comment when someone cuts me off in traffic).
The warm feeling that crosses my heart when I see my children do things that Glorify You.
The quiet urgings I receive each day to step “outside my box”.
The song that plays on the local Christian radio station which delivers a message I need to hear, exactly when I need to hear it.
Feeling Your Presence whisper through the trees when I take long walks in the forest.
The “Spiritual Nudges” you give me to reach out and share Your Love.
And many others…
Heavenly Father, You speak to me in so many wonderful ways and I delight in continuing to discover new ones. As our steps grow closer, I pray that I’m able to hear Your Voice above all other sounds and make decisions that Glorify the Blessings You bestow on me.

Love this! The closer we get to God, the more we realize that He is everywhere and that He has been speaking to us all along. We just recognize His “voice” now that we know Him better. I want to continually draw closer to Him so that I hear Him even more.

I’ve had plenty of those quick inner “watch it” nudges! These get me back in line in a heartbeat. I also relate to those warm feelings you have when your children are glorifying God – or when anyone is glorying God.
Several times during the NBA season after a win, one of the players being interviewed would say, “First I want to thank God…”
Jason Terry of the Dallas Mavericks held nothing back. “To God be the glory! “We couldn’t have done it without Him.” And I couldn’t help but notice that during that final game, he was making 3 pointers left and right.
Last Sunday they won the NBA National Championship, their first title ever, and the first time in franchise history the Mavericks have won in the finals. God showed me time and time again in these games that He truly does give grace to the humble. I saw it in action.
So these moments, for me, are spiritual nudges. Moments when I get to see David slay Goliath. When I get to see the underdogs of this world win victories.
I have too Debra… God’s been working on me to curb some behaviors as of late, and I’m very thankful for those Divine Corrections!

Love your prayer. I often think His nudges are like tuning in the radio frequencies. I have to reset the dial each day in order to hear Him better. or clean the lenses of my glasses to see Him in everything. A daily process
Great analogy Jean! It’s a daily commitment to seeing His influence in our lives, but it makes everything so worthwhile when we do!

My spirit has definitely become more aware of His as I move in and out of my days. For several months, I had to simply walk by faith, not by sight, sound, nor my feelings. I had to firmly rely on what I knew to be true. Thankfully, my senses are finally coming around again to “feel” and “see” God’s witness in deeper ways. I am exceedingly grateful for every simple reminder of his grace in my life.
Keep to it, Phil. Thanks for your constant encouragement in my life.

We all go through seasons where God’s voice is certainly more quiet than others Elaine, but as you so eloquently noted our Faith and knowledge of Him carries us through until that veil can be lifted. I’m so happy to hear that you’re emerging into that sunlight!

Great post! God is so true to His word when we line ourselves up to His word and not our own agenda then and only then will we become blessed people. Jesus loved obedience and we must draw close to Him other wise we will spiritually die.
