Always on My Shoulder…

09/03 – Dear Lord; Well, another work-week has almost come to an end. It’s been an interesting week to say the least… Not good, not bad, just interesting. Going back over it all in my head, I’m emboldened by the knowledge that through all the ups and downs we go through on a regular basis, your influence in our lives is a constant. Your Grace continues to be a learning experience for me. Amen.  ~Phather Phil

It’s the Little Miracles…

09/02 – Dear Lord; I used to spend time looking for the huge, magnanimous miracles as proof of your Grace, but over many years of introspection and observation I’ve come to understand it’s the little gifts we receive each day that show your love. Thank you so much for those blessed moments! Amen. ~Phather Phil

Praying for Courage…

09/01 – Dear Lord; We’re all guilty of succumbing to fear now and again. The day-to-day trials and tribulations we face, even in good times, can make it very difficult for us to focus on the blessings in our lives. Please fill our hearts with the courage and fortitude to do what’s right, and to see past the fears that can immobilize us. As always, You Rock! Amen. ~Phather Phil

Through Your Eyes…

08/31 – Dear Lord; Sometimes, when it feels as if the world is on our shoulders, it’s very difficult to see ourselves in a positive light. May all those in the throes of turmoil see themselves, if just for a moment, through your loving eyes and know that warmth and peace. Amen. ~Phather Phil

Just, Thank You!

08/27 – Dear Lord; Today, I’d just like to give thanks… Thanks for wonderful friends, a loving family, food in my belly, air in my lungs, and all the other simple little blessings you bestow on me each day. While I’m guilty of losing sight of it now and again, I do realize that I am blessed. Amen. ~Phather Phil

From the Tao…

08/26 – Dear Lord; I was reminded this morning of the Taoist Principle of Wu Wei, which teaches us not to fight the Universe’s nature but instead to flow with it like water around a rock. Pondering this, I realized that idea applies to our Faith as well. If we spent more energy embracing your love and guidance instead of fighting the world around us, we would all be happier people. Amen. ~Phather Phil
