Dear Lord; Today my thoughts and prayers go out to some friends who have been dealing with a number of emotionally charged situations as of late. These are very good people, and they’re very much in need of a break. Please wrap these people in Your Loving Arms, and give them Comfort knowing that You’re with them. Amen. ~Phather Phil

Dear Lord; Last night, I received the nicest complement yet on my Phather Phil blog. My son Jonathan heard me talking about the site, and asked what it was about. I told him, and he asked if he could read it. He spent the next half-hour pouring through the year’s entries and happily announced “That’s really cool! I have a Dad that emails God.”. I’m still smiling about it today. Amen. ~Phather Phil

Dear Lord; As a large part of my Spiritual Journey, I’ve worked hard to leave myself open to seeing and hearing You in new ways and places. This morning, Your Voice came to me while listening to my kids singing “Don’t Stop Believin’” in the back seat on the way to school. Thank you for that morning visit, and the smile. Amen. ~Phather Phil

Dear Lord; As you know my life is generally quite noisy. Between dogs, kids, phones and the other sounds of daily life, I’m usually processing lots of auditory information all the time. I think that may be partly why I became an insomniac long ago; I do love the Stillness of the nighttime. In those quiet, calm hours I hear you best. Thank you for those moments together. Amen. ~Phather Phil

Dear Lord; Friday morning at the office started with a couple phone calls from clients who were absolutely “freaked out” due to problems with their computers. Neither were serious, and both were remedied quickly but the extreme reactions the people gave made me revisit the “it’s all little stuff” thought. Thank you for helping keep me grounded, and seeing what’s truly important. Amen. ~Phather Phil
