Dear Lord; Good evening Father!<\/p>\n
You know Father, throughout the years I\u2019ve been in business I\u2019ve had an amazingly diverse group of clients.\u00a0 In most cases, we have an excellent rapport with our customers; they know we\u2019ll do what\u2019s necessary to satisfy their IT needs, and that even when things don\u2019t go exactly as planned we\u2019re in their corner and will make sure things are taken care of.\u00a0 We work diligently on their behalf, and the great majority of them appreciate what we do for them.<\/p>\n
And then there are those<\/span> clients\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve decided Lord, that there are some folks that no matter what you do, you simply can\u2019t please.\u00a0 Being that I pride myself on solving problems for people and maintaining an upbeat, moral and ethical relationship with them, that tiny contingent of customers causes me the bulk of my upset.\u00a0 Driving back from a job site this afternoon, I was playing back an interaction with one of those clients in my head, getting more and more frustrated that our efforts kept getting twisted and maligned and that no matter what we did for them, it was never enough, or appreciated.<\/p>\n \u201cPray for them.\u201d I heard drift across my thoughts…<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Ouch\u2026 You certainly know how to make me stop and think Father.\u00a0 In focusing on my frustrations, I allowed myself to forget Your teachings:<\/p>\n \u201cBut I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,\u00a0that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.\u201d \u2013 Matthew 5:44-45 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve come to the conclusion Lord, that one of Your intentions for prayer is to allow You to \u201cstretch\u201d<\/em> our spirits in directions our earthly selves would likely not have taken.\u00a0 I think it\u2019s quite probable that those people I was allowing to poison my spirit desperately need Your Presence, and therefore deserve my prayers.<\/p>\n Thank You for the reminder and the lesson Father.\u00a0 I\u2019ll be working on this more diligently going forward.<\/p>\n Amen.<\/p>\n ~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear Lord; Good evening Father!
