Dear Lord; Good evening Father!<\/p>\n
Well Lord, today I had another one of those \u201cgeek views on God\u201d<\/em> moments.<\/p>\n We were installing a new server at a client\u2019s site today, and were having some problems joining a couple workstation PCs to the freshly created domain (I know, I know\u2026 geeky stuff.\u00a0 I\u2019ll keep this part brief).\u00a0 It\u2019s a reasonably new client and site for us, so after some tests and investigation we realized that there was another legacy machine on the network that was improperly trying to \u201crun the show\u201d<\/em> and causing conflicts with the new system.\u00a0 In effect, the new computers were trying to obey orders from more than one \u201cboss\u201d<\/em>, which in effect rendered them non-functional.<\/p>\n Hmmm\u2026 Kind of like trying to follow our earthly wants and You at the same time\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The situation today reminded me of an excellent point I\u2019ve seen on several other blogs recently; We have one Boss, one Father, one \u201cDomain Controller\u201d<\/em> that we need to take our direction from.\u00a0 If we allow ourselves to heed the calls of other earthly \u201cmasters\u201d<\/em> instead, we become spiritually non-functional.<\/p>\n \u201cThen Jesus said to his disciples, <\/strong>“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.\u201d\u201d \u2013 Matthew 16:24 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p>\n I love seeing Your Lessons in my life each day Father.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Amen.<\/p>\n ~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear Lord; Good evening Father!
