Dear Lord; Happy Friday Father!<\/p>\n
Today Lord, I\u2019d like to close the week by discussing something I read over on Pastor Pete Wilson\u2019s Blog<\/a> this morning which has had my thoughts churning all day.\u00a0 It was a short post based around a question that was phrased at a Church Leaders Conference<\/a> he addressed recently. \u00a0Another speaker at the conference, Pastor David Landrith<\/a> asked the attendees:<\/p>\n \u201c<\/em><\/strong>Are you talking about God more than you\u2019re talking to God?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Wow\u2026\u00a0 Such a simple, yet powerful and convicting query.<\/p>\n Well Father, as it\u2019s my predisposition to dissect things my mind immediately started contemplating all the different ways I involve You in my day and whether each of those were \u201ctalking to You\u201d<\/em> or \u201ctalking about You\u201d<\/em>.\u00a0 For example, I write these \u201cEmails to God\u201d<\/em> each day and while they\u2019re certainly based on my prayers and things You bring to my heart, in the end they\u2019re talking about<\/span> You, not to<\/span> You.<\/p>\n Pastor Wilson made what I feel is a key point in his post:<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s possible to talk about God and not be transformed. However talking with God always leads to transformation.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019ve been Blessed to have had many transformational moments Father, but I also know I have a long way to go on the journey You\u2019ve laid for me.\u00a0 Therefore, I\u2019ll be \u201ccalling\u201d<\/em> more often.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Thanks for the wakeup message Pete.<\/p>\n Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Blessings You\u2019ve brought us this week.\u00a0 Please refresh our spirits and deliver Your Message of Renewal to our hearts, so that we may serve You with our whole selves.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n ~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear Lord; Happy Friday Father!
