Dear Lord; Happy Monday Father!\u00a0 First off, I want to thank You for another lovely weekend with my family and friends.\u00a0 Date night with my wonderful wife Shannon on Saturday night was a great way to end the week, and although I ended up \u201cunder the weather\u201d on Sunday, I was Blessed in that my family made sure I had the quiet time I needed to rest and recuperate.\u00a0 I certainly wasn\u2019t as productive as I had originally planned on being, but the downtime did help us all to recharge our batteries for the week ahead.<\/p>\n
Today Lord, I want to delve further into my Focus Word (Accept<\/span>) for the year and how it\u2019s already affected my thoughts and actions.\u00a0 It\u2019s amazing to me, but since You placed that word in my heart I find it jumping into my head quite regularly.\u00a0 For example, I had a situation this weekend where I was extremely uncomfortable with the way someone was acting in a public situation.\u00a0 They weren\u2019t doing anything wrong per-se, but it made me feel awkward all the same.<\/p>\n \u201cYou need to Accept<\/span> them for who they are\u201d<\/strong> I heard in the back of my head.<\/p>\n Fair enough.\u00a0 As I said, they weren\u2019t doing anything wrong and they certainly weren\u2019t hurting me in any way.\u00a0 I realized I had just taken it upon myself to feel uncomfortable at the way they were behaving, and was letting it affect my disposition.<\/p>\n Therefore, today\u2019s statement of focus from my experience this weekend is :<\/p>\n I need to Accept<\/span> that God has made each of us an individual who is unique and special.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Now please understand Father, this doesn\u2019t mean I won\u2019t stand up against people doing something morally or ethically wrong, or not confront evil wherever I see it.\u00a0 I simply need to have more flexibility when dealing with differences in how Your Children act and interact with others.\u00a0 You\u2019ve made us all wonderfully individual and unique, and I\u2019m going to work on celebrating those differences more.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n ~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear Lord;
