Good morning Father!\u00a0 Well, we\u2019ve certainly started the week off with a blustery and snowy morning.\u00a0 Here in middle Delaware at least, the snow came down all day yesterday and into the evening, leaving a cleansing white coating on the ground.\u00a0 While it\u2019s a travel impediment, I\u2019ve always loved the way snow seems to purify everything and leaves the Earth feeling new, although I\u2019m sure I\u2019ll be a lot less enthralled clearing the driveway later on today when the wind settles down\u00a0 :-).\u00a0 Either way, I pray that all those forced to venture out into these conditions will feel You by their side, and get to their destinations safely.<\/p>\n<p>I also wanted to thank You for a lovely Christmas weekend Father.\u00a0 From the wonderful Children\u2019s Christmas Eve Service at <a title=\"St. Paul's Lutheran Church, DE\" href=\"http:\/\/www.stpaulsnewarkde.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">St. Paul\u2019s Lutheran Church<\/a> Friday night, to the time spent with my loving family on Christmas Day it was a joyous time and will inspire happy memories for quite some time to come.\u00a0 We are indeed Blessed, and I thank You from the bottom of my heart.<\/p>\n<p>Searching for inspiration on this wintery Monday morning Lord, I came across a prayer that just hit home with me and therefore I\u2019d like to finish our chat with it.\u00a0 It\u2019s called <a title=\"WikiPedia - The Prayer of Saint Francis\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Prayer_of_Saint_Francis\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cThe Prayer of Saint Francis\u201d<\/a> and reads :<\/p>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong><em>Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>Where there is hatred, let me sow love.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>Where there is injury, pardon.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>Where there is doubt, faith.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>Where there is despair, hope.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>Where there is darkness, light.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>Where there is sadness, joy.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>O Divine Master,<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>to be understood, as to understand;<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>to be loved, as to love.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>For it is in giving that we receive.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.<\/em><\/strong><\/address>\n<address style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong><em>Amen.<\/em><\/strong><strong>\u201d<\/strong><\/address>\n<p>~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Lord;
