Dear Lord; Merry Christmas Eve Father!\u00a0 This morning, following the \u201ctradition\u201d I started on Thanksgiving this year, I\u2019m going to let two of my biggest Blessings (my sons Jonathan and Aidan) compose the email to you.\u00a0 I battled with what questions to give them to work from this morning, but couldn\u2019t decide between two; \u201cWhat does Christmas mean to you?\u201d and \u201cWhat Blessings do you want to thank God for at Christmas time?\u201d.\u00a0 Therefore, I thought we\u2019d do both!\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Jonathan (Age 11)<\/strong><\/p>\n What does Christmas mean to you? :<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cChristmas means to me that it\u2019s time for Joy, Peace and Happiness.\u00a0 It\u2019s also the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus.\u201d<\/p>\n What Blessings do you want to thank God for at Christmas time?:<\/p>\n \u201cGod has blessed me with many things; my family, my friends, shelter and food.\u00a0 I have fun, and things to do.\u00a0 God has helped me stay healthy after I was really sick.\u00a0 Thank you God!\u201d<\/p>\n Aidan (Age 8)<\/strong><\/p>\n What does Christmas mean to you?:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cChristmas means celebrating Jesus\u2019 Birthday.\u00a0 You get to be with your family.\u00a0 You get time off school.\u00a0 You get to spend time with your friends.\u00a0 You get decorate the house.\u201d<\/p>\n What Blessings do you want to thank God for at Christmas time?:<\/p>\n \u201cI want to thank God for money, health, food, shelter, my family, my brother, something to do, our pets, and for my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Father, on this Eve of Celebration of Your Son\u2019s Divine Birth I want to thank You myself as well.\u00a0 You gave Your Only Son to us to inspire us, teach us, set a Holy Path for us to follow, and then to die for our Eternal Salvation.\u00a0 I can\u2019t imagine a more amazing Gift, and I\u2019m truly humbled by Your Love for us.\u00a0 Please reach out Father, to those struggling to find the Peace Christ brought to us all and let them feel Your Loving Arms around them.<\/p>\n May we all take time during the next couple of days to stop, let our earthly stresses go, and focus on the Wondrous Gift Our Lord has given to us.\u00a0 O Come, O Come, Emmanuel!<\/p>\n Amen.\u00a0 ~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear Lord;
