Dear Lord; This morning Father, I\u2019d like to talk to You about selfishness.\u00a0 Shannon and I have been spending some focus lately working with our children to help them think and make decisions for purposes other than benefiting themselves in some fashion.\u00a0 They\u2019re actually quite empathetic kids, and we\u2019re very proud of their emotional growth so far but we\u2019re always trying to make sure they\u2019re making the best choices they can for the right reasons.\u00a0 Anyways, it got me thinking about the choices I make and the reasons behind them.\u00a0 I certainly try to be a good person, and to do things altruistically for others however if I\u2019m brutally honest with myself, in many cases I\u2019ve altered or adjusted things I\u2019ve done to gain some benefit myself.\u00a0 Therefore Lord, this morning I\u2019m asking for Your Guidance and Presence to help me do the right things, for the right reasons.\u00a0 Fill my heart with Your Kindness, and let me see past myself to truly make a difference.\u00a0 Amen.\u00a0 ~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
