Dear Lord; Happy Wednesday Father!<\/p>\n

Monday morning Father, I woke up to someone standing on my chest\u2026<\/p>\n

Or at least it felt that way.<\/i><\/p>\n

No sleepy eyes calmly tip-toeing into the morning\u2019s experience for me, but instead my heart raced; keeping time with my mind as it rushed frantically into the new week\u2019s trials, struggles and fears\u2026<\/p>\n

The unknown had me firmly in it\u2019s grip.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

I tried to focus; to redirect my hectic mind and find Your peace, but those demons had caught me unaware as I slept and now were firmly entrenched within me\u2026<\/p>\n

So I went about my morning; moving from task to task in a determined effort to derail my inner turmoil, but in the dark recesses of my heart those taunting voices persisted\u2026<\/p>\n

Reminding me of my failures\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

Seeding doubts about my choices\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

Planting worries about those I love\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

And introducing fears about the week that lie ahead\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m already there Phil\u2026\u201d You whispered.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

The voices calmed, finding diminished audience as Your truth set in, and the pressure in my breast began to ease\u2026<\/p>\n

The balance within had shifted\u2026 Your peace had won the day.<\/i><\/p>\n

The assaults however, continue still Lord; timid declarations of dissent from the darkest corners of my mind, waiting once again to catch me off my guard\u2026<\/p>\n

Ever assailing me from the shadows… Seeking for an opportunity to regain that precious battleground.<\/i><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been said Father, that we can be our own worst enemy\u2026<\/p>\n

And in my case, I find this true far more often than I care to admit.<\/p>\n

So thank You Lord.<\/i><\/p>\n

Thank You for standing in that gap; aiding me in fighting back those unseen forces that threaten to pull me from Your peace.<\/i><\/p>\n

For it\u2019s in Your name I pray, and it\u2019s bathed in Your grace I live\u2026<\/i><\/p>\n

Amen.<\/p>\n
