Dear Lord; Happy Thankful Thursday Father!<\/p>\n
You know Lord, as I look back over the \u201cEmails to God\u201d<\/em> I\u2019ve written to You over the past year, it amazes me how much we\u2019ve discussed, how much ground we\u2019ve covered, and most importantly how far I still have to go on my Walk to Your side.<\/p>\n The other thing I find fascinating Father, is to see how those who\u2019ve come to share this journey have found us.\u00a0 Through the statistics engine in place \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d <\/em>here on phatherphil.org, I can drill down and get very detailed information as to what sites, searches and links were followed to land people on these posts and pages.\u00a0 It also allows me to see which of our conversations generated the most interest, and which posts led the most readers to comment as well.<\/p>\n It\u2019s a fun look back over our year together Lord, and today I\u2019d like to share those results.<\/p>\n Top 5 Search Terms Used<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Google\u2019s engine is some kind of mystery Father.\u00a0 While in some cases I understand completely how certain search phrases lead people to find this site, there are others that just leave me scratching my head.\u00a0 Nonetheless, the top five phrases that were used last year to find this site were:<\/p>\n 1. my son\u2019s birthday<\/em><\/p>\n 2. come to me all you who are weary<\/em><\/p>\n 3. being used<\/em><\/p>\n 4. mercies in disguise<\/em><\/p>\n 5. a beautiful prayer<\/em><\/p>\n Top 5 Posts by Views<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n It\u2019s always interesting Lord, to see exactly which of our conversations were most sought out.\u00a0 Not only does it help to give me a better perspective on what topics are close to people\u2019s hearts, but it also serves to help guide my prayers going forward.\u00a0 Funny enough, the top five posts for 2011 contains several of my personal favorites as well:<\/p>\n 1. Martha from Martha\u2019s Daily Devotions<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n All in all Lord, 2011 was an amazing year of spiritual discovery and growth here at PhatherPhil.org, and I\u2019m very excited to see where You\u2019ll take this journey in 2012.<\/p>\n And now Father, on to the Thankful Thursday<\/span><\/em> list of Blessings!\u00a0 This past week has been an eventful one to be sure, yet through all the peaks and valleys Your Blessings have shone brightly.\u00a0 I\u2019m truly thankful Lord, for all of the many gifts You surround our lives with, but this week I\u2019m especially grateful for:<\/p>\n 496. A fun \u201cdinner and games\u201d night with some wonderful friends last Saturday.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 497. A powerful, inspiring final session of the \u201cPlan B\u201d group study this past Tuesday.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 498. That You are a God of infinite contingencies.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 499. The cleansed feeling the world gets following a morning rainstorm.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 500. The difference in perspective I\u2019ve received by listing these first 500 Blessings.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 501. Fresh Draft Beer.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 502. The outpouring of compassion and support we received upon the passing of our dog this past weekend.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 503. That when I begin to doubt that I\u2019m following Your desire, You find a way to send me reassurance.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 504. Friends with beautiful hearts who share them willingly.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 505. That even when I\u2019m clumsy in my Walk<\/a> to You Lord, You\u2019re there to steady my footing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 506. New members to our Tuesday night small group.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 507. Being given almost seventeen years with our little Pomeranian, Hunny.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 508. A good friend who came to my aid last Saturday morning.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 509. That following a week-long illness, Jonathan is back to his happy, obstinate self.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n 510.
