{"id":1885,"date":"2012-01-10T18:19:40","date_gmt":"2012-01-10T22:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phatherphil.org\/?p=1885"},"modified":"2012-01-10T18:19:40","modified_gmt":"2012-01-10T22:19:40","slug":"i-get-so-clumsy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phatherphil.org\/?p=1885","title":{"rendered":"I Get So Clumsy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Lord; Happy Tuesday Father!<\/p>\n<p>Well Lord, I had every intention of writing You a completely different post today.\u00a0 It came to me this morning, I thought about it throughout the day, I researched the Scriptures involved at length, and then\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>You shifted gears on me.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It happened while I was driving back from picking up a prescription refill at our veterinarian this afternoon.\u00a0 I\u2019d elected to take the back way there; giving myself a little added <em>\u201cquiet time\u201d<\/em> to gather my thoughts and contemplate my post a bit.\u00a0 There I was, riding along deep in thought, when all of a sudden I got that <em>\u201cpay attention\u201d<\/em> nudge I\u2019ve come to know.\u00a0 The song on the radio had just changed, and the lyrics immediately caught my notice\u2026<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ip7MaWhfW_g?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"407\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Wow Lord\u2026 I\u2019ve felt like this more than once as of late\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>You think I\u2019d have it down by now<br \/>\nBeen practicin\u2019 for thirty years<br \/>\nI should have walked a thousand miles<br \/>\nSo what am I still doin\u2019 here<br \/>\nReachin\u2019 out for that same old piece of forbidden fruit<br \/>\nI slip and fall and I knock my halo loose<br \/>\nSomebody tell me what\u2019s a boy supposed to do?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I get so clumsy<br \/>\nI get so foolish<br \/>\nI get so stupid<br \/>\nAnd then I feel so useless\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Clumsy\u2026\u00a0 What an apt description of how I feel on my journey to You sometimes Father\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I stumble\u2026<\/p>\n<p>I trip\u2026<\/p>\n<p>I take the wrong <em>\u201cfork in the road\u201d<\/em>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>And yet\u2026<\/p>\n<p><em>But You\u2019re sayin\u2019 You love me<br \/>\nAnd You\u2019re still gonna hold me<br \/>\nAnd that You wanna be near me<br \/>\n\u2018Cause You\u2019re makin\u2019 me holy<br \/>\nYou\u2019re still makin\u2019 me holy, yeah<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Yeah.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for the reminder today Lord.<\/p>\n<p>Amen.<\/p>\n<p>~Phather Phil<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/pinterest.com\/pin\/create\/button\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.phatherphil.org%2F%3Fp%3D1885&media=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.phatherphil.org%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2012%2F01%2FSteps-are-Steep-and-Slippery-1-Cropped.jpg&description=Inspirations+from+Phather+Phil+-+I+Get+So+Clumsy\" class=\"pin-it-button\" count-layout=\"horizontal\">Pin It<\/a>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Lord; Happy Tuesday Father!
