Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?\u00a0Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?\u00a0And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?\u201d<\/span> \u2013 Matthew 6:25-27 (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em>For many people, anxiety can be a pervasive and overwhelming force in their lives.\u00a0 It can gnaw at our very beings, and obscure from us those Blessings that surround us each and every day.\u00a0 In this teaching, Jesus warns us against allowing such emotions to poison us, and reminds us that as our Heavenly Father provides for the necessities of other creatures of the world, He will make available those basic needs to support our lives as well.\u00a0 When we allow our fears and doubts to overcome us, we place a barrier between ourselves and God, denying His many gifts in our lives.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cTherefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on.
