For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.\u00a0And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.\u201d \u2013 Romans 8:26-27 (ESV)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em>While all of us to some extent \u201cknow how\u201d to pray, it can be difficult to understand exactly what we truly <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">need<\/span> to pray for.\u00a0 We may think we know what we want, but in many cases receiving what we ask for would prove disastrous in some unseen way.\u00a0 Thankfully, the Holy Spirit within us knows our true needs, our hearts and our desires, and can frame our petitions to our Heavenly Father accordingly.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cLikewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
