{"id":1473,"date":"2011-10-17T19:36:33","date_gmt":"2011-10-17T23:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phatherphil.org\/?p=1473"},"modified":"2011-10-17T19:36:33","modified_gmt":"2011-10-17T23:36:33","slug":"meditations-monday-someone-elses-story","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phatherphil.org\/?p=1473","title":{"rendered":"Meditations Monday: Someone Else&#8217;s Story"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Lord; Happy Meditations Monday Father!<\/p>\n<p>Well Father, I couldn\u2019t have asked for a lovelier weekend.\u00a0 Coming off of a tiring and complicated week, Shannon, the boys and I were all well-worn by the time Friday evening rolled around.\u00a0 With that being the case, we made the decision to spend a good bit of our <em>\u201cdown time\u201d<\/em> as the description implies\u2026 down.\u00a0 Friday evening we curled up on the couch together and watch movies until bedtime. \u00a0Saturday morning we lounged around the house in the morning, and then headed outside to do our <em>\u201cFall clean up\u201d<\/em> of the planting beds along the house.\u00a0 The rest of the day was split between miscellaneous housework, and more movie-time with the kids.\u00a0 Sunday morning began with an uplifting service at church, then back to the house for a tasty, fun breakfast of Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (Thanks for pointing me to the recipe <a title=\"Blackpurl's Knitpickings... An Expat Journal\" href=\"http:\/\/blackpurlsknitpickings.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Alida<\/a> :-)).\u00a0 Jonathan, Aidan and I then gave Mommy some quiet time and headed out to Blackbird State Forest for a long walk in the beauty and abundance of Your Creation.\u00a0 The rest of the day was spent finishing up some odds-and-ends around the house, and then yet another quiet evening on the couch with the boys.\u00a0 This was the first weekend in quite some time where we didn\u2019t have a packed schedule of activities, and it was <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0 Thank You so much for that much-needed respite Lord!<\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Meditations Monday<\/span><\/em> Scripture is actually inspired by something <a title=\"John Waller Music\" href=\"http:\/\/www.johnwallermusic.com\" target=\"_blank\">John Waller<\/a> talked about at the worship concert we attended last Thursday.\u00a0 One of the songs he played discussed his desire to be used to bring Your light into other people\u2019s lives.\u00a0 The song is appropriately titled <em>\u201cSomebody Else\u2019s Story\u201d<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HjAmdzsOR7w?rel=0&amp;hd=1\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"600\" height=\"305\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Out of all the wonderful music he shared with us that night Lord, this is the one that really hit home with me.\u00a0 As a Christian, I can think of no greater joy than bringing Your message to the hearts of those around me; to show them the true wonder of Your love for us, and to share the gifts You\u2019ve Blessed me with in Your service.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cAnd Jesus came and said to them, <\/strong><strong>\u201cAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
