Dear Lord; Happy Meditations Monday Father!<\/p>\n
You know Father, sometimes I think that I go to work each week to get some rest after the weekends.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
Once again Lord, You Blessed us with a busy but joyful weekend.\u00a0 From the \u201cBreakfast for Dinner\u201d<\/em> Friday night get-together we hosted, to hiking and taking photos with the boys and Shannon\u2019s mother during the day on Saturday, to attending the big yearly party at my father\u2019s home on Sunday after church, it was a wonderful couple days spent in the company of family and good friends.\u00a0 Thank You for that time together Father!<\/p>\n This week\u2019s Meditations Monday<\/span><\/em> Scripture selection comes from the 10th<\/sup> chapter of the Gospel of Mark:<\/p>\n People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them.\u00a0 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, \u201cLet the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.\u00a0 I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.\u201d\u00a0 And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. \u2013 Mark 10:13-16 (NIV)<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Such a powerful image of tenderness and affection this brings to mind Father, and with it some excellent lessons for us as well.<\/p>\n First off, Jesus\u2019 response to His disciples\u2019 attempt to \u201chead off\u201d<\/em> the children from coming to Him clearly demonstrates His view that all Your Children are precious; none are too insignificant to seek Christ\u2019s Presence.\u00a0 As many of us suffer from feelings of being unworthy of Your Love, this is a powerful truth to remember.<\/p>\n And then Father, Jesus makes a statement that I\u2019ll be meditating and praying on this week;<\/p>\n I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n \u201cLike a little child\u201d;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Humble\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Trusting\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Accepting\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Obedient\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Faithful…<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Heavenly Father, as adults we allow so many things in our lives to obscure our hearts from You.\u00a0 Please open us to experience Your Glory with the wonder, acceptance and understanding that only a truly unencumbered spirit can.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n ~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dear Lord; Happy Meditations Monday Father!
