{"id":1081,"date":"2011-06-17T12:36:00","date_gmt":"2011-06-17T16:36:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.phatherphil.org\/?p=1081"},"modified":"2011-06-17T12:36:00","modified_gmt":"2011-06-17T16:36:00","slug":"the-one-thing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.phatherphil.org\/?p=1081","title":{"rendered":"The One Thing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Lord; Happy Friday Father!<\/p>\n<p>And once again Lord, we stand at the conclusion to yet another work-week.\u00a0 The weekend ahead is poised to be a busy one, but one where much of our time will be spent in the company of good friends and family, so I\u2019m very much looking forward to it.\u00a0 You\u2019ve Blessed us immeasurably through the souls You\u2019ve brought into our lives, and we relish these times with them.<\/p>\n<p>On my way in to work this morning, I was listening to the local <a title=\"88.7 The Bridge\" href=\"http:\/\/www.887thebridge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Contemporary Christian radio station<\/a> when a song came on that I hadn\u2019t heard before.\u00a0 As the music played I found myself inspired by the lyrics, so when I reached the office I spent some time researching the song\u2019s origins.\u00a0 As it turns out, although I hadn\u2019t heard it before the song was part of an album released in 2005 by <a title=\"Paul Colman - One Voice, One Guitar\" href=\"http:\/\/www.paulcolman.com\/intro.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Colman<\/a> called <em>\u201cLet it Go\u201d<\/em>, and is entitled <em>\u201cThe One Thing\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"599\" height=\"341\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GZB0i1wTJxg?rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>What a great song.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>But the one thing I don&#8217;t question is You<br \/>\nYou really love me like You say You do<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We question so many things in our lives Lord, but as long as we cling firmly to the knowledge that You love us unconditionally, all those other concerns pale in importance.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Blessings You\u2019ve bestowed on us this past week.\u00a0 Please continue to guide our motivations and actions to best glorify Your Will, and stir us to act as Your Hands and Feet so that all those around us can\u2019t help but see Your Love.\u00a0 Amen.<\/p>\n<p>~Phather Phil<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Lord; Happy Friday Father!
